The first Coors Open of the season was fished in less than ideal conditions, with glaring sunshine and hot temperatures. Paul Newell came out tops from the same peg he won from last season, peg 25 below Baileys weir. Again he caught chub, 4 of them, up to 5lb, on waggler and caster. Also in his winning net were a few perch and Dace. Fred Prudham drew the new peg 22 on Municipal. He fished stick and waggler with maggot to amass a Roach and chublet net, with a solitary grayling, totalling 10lb. Third was the ever consistent England International Sean Ashby. Sean fished pole on Baileys peg 9 for a predominately Roach catch of 9lb 4oz. 4th to 6th Place required 8lb and most sections were won with 5-7lb.   1st Paul Newhall 11lb 3oz 2nd Fred Prudham 10lb 3rd Sean Ashby 9lb 4oz 4th Roger Smith 8lb 13oz           Sherratts 5th Peter Sturmey 8lb 12oz        Sherratts 6th Dave Webb 8lb 3oz              Baileys   Sections Ade Reynolds 5lb 4oz        Sherratts Lee Bennett 6lb 9oz         ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Cam Hughes 7lb 14oz       ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Mark Foreshew 5lb 2oz    Andressey Reg Whiston 6lb 2oz        Andressey Colin Talbot 7lb 9oz         Andressey John Harper 7lb 8oz        Baileys Richard Moor 7lb 13oz     Baileys Brian Rigby 3lb 13oz        Munie Ian Ward 4lb 12oz           Munie   Drennan Qualifiers Roger Smith, Cam Hughes, Reg Whiston, Colin Talbot, Sean Ashby, Paul Newell, Fred Prudham
